The Tech Guys were called to a site just on the side of HARRODS to a really high-level prestige site as their Wireless network has been extremely slow; this was causing a large number of headaches to them as all their payment terminals were running on the wireless. Due to the site's location, the mobile signal is feeble and not a viable solution for the PDQ’s.
We conducted a thorough site audit and facilitated the installation of a new fibre internet line. The site's location posed a challenge in terms of cabling, but our on-site experts provided the necessary management to ensure the work was successfully completed. Without our presence, it is unlikely that the installation would have been possible.
After the installation of the new line, the internet speed increased from 7Mbps to 600Mbps, the whole site was re-cabled and 6 Wi-Fi access points got installed, all these without any visible cable or surface damage.
Now they have full coverage everywhere inside and outside their on-street area, customers enjoy having the HIGH-SPEED Wi-Fi at their tables. All payment devices are working perfectly, which speeds their process up significantly.
EPOS terminals, alarm system, local network and everything that was connected previously have been switched over to their now new fast speed network, firewall and remote access completed; all these works were entirely completed out of hours, overnight, which means the business had no downtime, no customer and money loss.
They closed on a Saturday with an old unreliable system which was a pain in all aspects and opened with a brand-new system they were all delighted with 12 hours later on Sunday.
