Another new hospitality client approached us to analyse their existing CCTV system as they had dozens of issues around it. An existing 29 camera analogue installation has seen better days. Few cameras were not shown at all on the recorder, another bunch had blurry and dark picture constantly, some did not even show any vision in the dark. Re-installing would have been the easier option for us and better business wise, however our expertise and experience makes us standing out when we do jobs for the hospitality industry. Changing the whole system is in most cases not necessary, others will say it is, however it’s just simple being lazy and only talking about their own profit. We do understand the industry inside out, if we can fix it for the fracture of the cost of changing everything, we will fix it, it’s not because we are nice and always focusing on cost effectiveness for both parties, but also because we can!
We can fix, add, modify, change, partially change and re-design using existing equipment and system in every case we are being asked to come on board. This is extremely cost effective for our clients which is key especially with the current circumstances.
In this case, instead of relaxing the whole system, which would have needed a complete new cabling, we changed the cameras we could not save by fixing and cleaning. Re-terminated faulty connectors, dressed the cables to avoid future issues, and housed the system in a nice and lockable cabinet.
Now all cameras shown on the recorder and the monitoring screen with a perfect vision.
While we were there we also run some extra cables for new data points, as that is also one of our key expertise and the client was in urgent need asking us if we would be able to recommend a company to get those cables done, well we recommended ourselves and get it all done.
Our engineers got to site after the venue closed on a Saturday, took the whole system apart, fixed all issues, changed 6 cameras and dozens of other components.
Created a marked up drawing for all camera locations to create a solid base for future troubleshooting and mainly support. Also added the extra data points, tested and handed over.
All the above done in a 9 hour gap while the venue was not operating between two shifts. Everything was done and dusted, handed over to the client before they reopened the very same day.
