The Tech Guys took on a bar chain with 18 bars, since the actual start there are now actually 22 bars where we did the #completedesign, plan, fit out, deployment for their entire wired and #wirelessnetwork also.
The project itself started from with a bar chain who was not happy with any of their #IT as nothing was working properly which on the top of the headaches was costing a lot of money to them due to technology being the bottleneck to their sales at their #venues.
Our team created a complete plan of how to get all venues upgraded technology wise, with close to zero disruption to their business.
As we are registered partners with all decent business internet providers, we reached out regarding all sites to find out what is the availability at each of their locations. What technology available on what speed and at what cost.
After proposing all possible options to the customer, we got to an agreement for different speeds and providers for all their venues (from 200mbp/s to gigabit!). We took on the #wayleave, ordering all lines, managing the installers and supervise even the actual installs face to face on site, to avoid any failures of physical #instalments.
As the installation got scheduled in we took on site by site with #recablingallvenues, installing a standardised network equipment which is now 24/7 monitored (so we know about an internet outage most of the times before the venue recognises - so we can act immediately).
#Cabling was completed out of ours, overnight, Saturdays, Sundays, whichever suited the actual venue the best.
The #newnetwork, all the related kit, all #accesspoints were installed separately by not touching any existing equipment, this is for two reasons as the current network was on their last leg (most of them were never done right from the very beginning when it was deployed) secondly, the with this approach the #networkswitchover did not cause any interruption at all.
#Installingnewlines brought only one change to their local networks was the public IP, this is change affect remote access to multiple systems and solutions such as #Epossystems, therefore we reached out to the bar chains Epos provider way ahead of the first installation, during our Project Planning period, asked for all technical details what we would need to implement according to their system to work properly through our firewalls so stock systems, reporting etc. would work as it should across the whole estate.
Based on the above, all our installations had the correct #firewallconfigurations set up, NAT-ing, port forwarding for their Epos and CCTV systems. These setting were setup when the switchover happened (parallel we shared the public IP with the vendors so they could adjust their systems accordingly).
As the client had a massive positive impact starting from our first site upgrade, we were asked if we can also cover their site support, on and off site, which we certainly took on.
As the client also opened 4 sites since, we were awarded to plan, design, fit out and deploy the complete network on all these sites also and to add them to our #supportcontract.
We are supporting the wired, and witless network for all of their venues and now even for their head office (where we also had to cover with a temporary 5G mobile internet for a large number of months).
Their payment, till and wireless related issues reduced by 90% in the second month. This is due to the fact that if the network is designed and fitted out correctly, the devices are configured properly and the network is monitored, this makes it all rock solid!
Also as we have multiple people based in London, we are always around and available.
We don’t just build new networks and infrastructure, we also, upgrade, fix existing ones and reuse everything we can and reasonable as especially in today’s economic situation and in #hospitality, cost is key, same as availability and reliability.
